چکیده
The objective of the present manuscript is to describe impact polypropylene fibers on behavior heated concrete subjected heating and cooling cycles at temperatures 200, 450 600 °C respectively for six hours, through a series experimental tests mass loss, water absorption, porosity, compressive tensile strength. For this purpose, mixes were prepared with water/cement ratio incorporation rate varying from 0.5 1.5%. These added in order improve thermal stability prevent splitting. results show that considerable loss strength was noticed all tested specimens. relative strengths concretes containing higher than those without fibers. Also, greater compared when increasing temperature. flexural more sensitive elevated rapid increase porosity observed fiber-reinforced reference concrete. Furthermore, absorption by proportional fiber content Doi: 10.28991/cej-2021-03091745 Full Text: PDF

Durability of Fiber Reinforced Concrete of Marine Structures
The usefulness of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) in various civil engineering applications is indisputable. Fiber reinforced concrete has so far been successfully used in slabs on grade, shotcrete, architectural panels, precast products, offshore structures, structures in seismic regions, thin and thick repairs, crash barriers, footings, hydraulic structures and many other applications. This p...
متن کاملEstimation of mechanical and durability properties of self-compacting concrete with fibers using ultrasonic pulse velocity
In this research, the performance of ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) in concrete is examined as a nondestructive experiment in order to estimate mechanical (compressive and tensile strength) and durability (water absorption) properties of fiber-reinforced self-compacted concrete For this purpose 11 mixture designs containing 3 types of fibers (steel: 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 percent by volume, Pol...
متن کاملThe Influence of Graphene Oxide on Mechanical Properties and Durability Increase of Concrete Pavement
Herein, the performance of graphene oxide (GO) in improving mechanical properties and subsequently reducing the permeability of cement composites used in concrete pavement, is studied. A polycarboxylate superplasticizer was used to improve the dispersion of GO flakes in the cement. The mechanical strength of graphene-cement nanocomposites containing 0.1–2 wt% GO and 0.5 wt% superplasticizer was...
متن کاملInvestigation of mechanical and durability properties of lightweight concrete containing Pumice
In this research, the effect of the cement, sand, and pumice mixture on the durability of lightweight concrete is investigated. The intention of this paper is to replace a certain amount of the pumice percentage as an alternative option of the cement and pumice sand aggregate with conventional sand components. The experimental results include compressive strength, ion-chloride emission factor (...
متن کاملmechanical and durability properties of slag based recycled aggregate concrete
in this paper, the possibility of using recycled aggregate (ra) and ground granulated blast furnace slag (ggbfs) to produce a structural concrete was studied by compromising strength to a lesser extent. hence an attempt has been made to study the strength and durability characteristics of the ggbfs-based recycled aggregate concrete. four different groups of mixes were designed by replacing natu...
